“Keith Kitchen led [worship] from the heart. He was very genuine in his heart for God and in his desire to lead students to worship the God he loves. He was real and passionate. When he arrived on the stage the audience was able to see that this was not about Keith but about the God he serves.”

      Thanks Tim!

I had a great time in Airdrie. So inspiring to see the many ways your church is trying to reach people and create community.

So sorry to hear about your wife. I’m glad my music has encouraged her. Hoping she’s able to make a full recovery.

Just the same way that Steve’s ‘ tend to the wounds of your blunders ‘ grabbed me, your song Empty Page stands out as unique from the rest of the CD. ‘Love is wild and free/it chooses where it goes/ and who can make any sense /of how it ebbs and it flows…sometimes…more trouble than it’s worth’ I see you as very versatile, part troubadour like Stephen Fearing, Corey Doak, with a voice that caresses, and then soars.I was delighted with your presence in my church, Vernon Alliance, and could have leaped with joy that you and I are such Steve Bell fans. Like Steve’s, your music is now part of the river of faith I can use. I can wash in it, dip in it and float along in it, sustained, inspired, comforted in the times between church services. If you go to my website you’ll see who I am! You’ll see me at any concerts you give here in the Okanagan.
    With much respect and admiration,
    Leila

Thanks for your kind words, folks. Sorry I haven’t responded more quickly.

Leila, I do remember meeting you. What a great weekend we had in Vernon. Hope to come back soon.

Judith, I don’t have sheet music for my stuff, unfortunately. Although, he might be able to pick up what I’m doing by watching some of the Youtube videos.

Wayne, I did some work in the oilfield last fall, too. Glad I was able to encourage you.

    Hello Keith,
I met you at the Baptist Church this spring in Nelson. I never get tired of listening to the Broomtree album and especially Flame. I have a young friend in Germany who plays guitar and I was wondering whether you ever share the ‘chord’ music? Especially to that piece? I am glad to have had the opportunity to have met you. blessings on your continued ministry.

Hey Keith, I was up north working oilfield last winter and found your cd’s on my comp. They were such a GodSend of encouragement in a place that is void of God’s Love. Thanks

I bought Saturday about a year and a half ago when you came through Humboldt, SK, and then Broomtree a little while later, as we didn’t have enough cash on us at the time of the concert. Loved both of the albums when I bought them. Was flicking through my iTunes last week, and decided that I still love them…. and that I need to get on buying Rumours of Light :) There’s something timeless about your work, and as time progresses, I reflect on different nuances and lyrics. Thanks for doing what you do, it’s inspiring, thoughtful and exquisite. Blessing to you and your family in the New Year.

Thanks for your kind words, Kataryna. They were a great encouragement to me as I turned on the computer today. I think if you like the old albums you’ll really like the new one. Hoping to make my way back to Humboldt sometime in the coming year.

      Grace.

Thanks Keith. The song I would really like to be able to play is Release Me. I have watched the video on your site and it looks like you capo it. Would it be possible to get the chords?

    Hi Keith,
We met last spring at Ken Dryden’s when you did a house concert there. I have been learning guitar and am practicing with the worship band at our church and would love to learn to play your songs. Is there a website where I can get the guitar music for your album?
    Thanks,
    Quinton

Hi Quinton. I think I remember meeting you there. That was a great evening! I don’t have the music readily available, but I’d be glad to send you what you need for whatever song you’re working on.

Keith, tab your songs! I am sure guitarists like me all over western Canada are struggling to imitate your beautiful melodies. Thanks for being so real, your music has been a real joy and encouragement to me.

Thanks for your kind words, Cory. I don’t really have the gear or the know-how to do it. I’ve never really found tab all that helpful. Most of my songs are pretty simple, once you figure out the “trick”. If there’s a particular song that’s troubling you, perhaps I could post a video.

      Let me know.

Jay just got home from your concert at the church. I wasn’t able to come since I had to put our 2 grumpy girls to bed. We just finished listening to your new cd after Jason bragged about how great your concert was. Awesome CD! We are so happy for you and your family and amazed by your ability to write and perform such great music. Good luck with your future concerts!
